    Traditional Freshman

Choose a major because it will prepare you for a specific career path, advanced study or simply because you love the subject matter. Your career in Plant Science can start as a freshman, and you should declare the Plant Science major and specialization on your application.

All freshman applicants—both international and U.S. candidates—must complete the Common Application or College Application, along with any required supplements. The Office of Admissions link will help you get started on your college application.

If you don’t get into UF as a freshman, consider spending two years at community college and then reapply. The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences has a tradition of working closely with community and state college students to ensure a smooth transfer to UF.
