There is money all around for students to use for their education. A person only has to “google” plant science scholarships and you will find a wealth of information and opportunities. It can never hurt to apply for a scholarship even if you think you don’t qualify. What is the worst that can happen? You get turned down, that’s it. However, scholarship donors LIKE to give money away. If only one person applies but doesn’t quite meet all the criteria, they generally will still award the money!
The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) also has a pool of scholarship funds that students can apply for.
